Accounts Payable Associate

Primary Duties

  • Receive, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the company accounting system (Oracle NetSuite).
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors according to payment terms and company policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete vendor files, financial records, and payment documentation.
  • Respond to and resolve both vendor inquiries and payment issues (if any) and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end close processes and preparation of various reports related to accounts payable.
  • Review and process employee expense reports for reimbursement.
  • Ability to assist and work on Ad-Hoc projects and tasks as they come up.

Other Responsibilities & Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and able to accurately manage a high volume of invoices and payments on a regular basis.
  • Proven demonstration of proficiency in the use of accounting software (ex./ QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite).
  • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with vendors and fellow (internal) team members.
  • Demonstrate good time management with regard to prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines.
  • Work effectively with other departments, such as Manufacturing, Pharmacology, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and discretion with the handling of sensitive financial information.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s (preferred) degree in accounting.
  • Relevant coursework in Financial or Corporate Accounting, and a good understanding of accounting principles.

Experience

Familiarity with common work tools and programs (NetSuite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Compensation

Title and pay commensurate with skills and experience, eligibility for company benefit plans.

This is an on-site, non-remote position. Must live within commuting distance of Beverly, MA.
